The calm and cool of forests in the rain

A steady breeze that awakens the nights

Wild streams that bend and curve and twist

Sing to me of forbidden delights

The breeze whispers secrets to the trees

The leaves dance with gentle ecstasy

The moon smiles at the nymphs set free

To the anarchy woven in waves at the sea

The storms that raise havoc in the eves that die

Once still and counting the moon’s pale beams

Rage war between the gods of the skies,

Oceans, mayhem, destruction and demise.

But the sea is locked in a delicate bottle of glass

Hidden from curious, watchful eyes

Screwed shut with contempt and regrets

Behind curtains of reticence and lies
